This exhibition looks at individuals and communities who rejected convention and built alternative homes reflecting their ideals, from William Morris's own Red House to Charleston (Vanessa Bell and Duncan Grant), Derek Jarman's Prospect Cottage, and Dial House, founded by Crass members Penny Rimbaud and Gee Vaucher. Through paintings, photographs, objects and archive material, it examines how wealth and class shaped access to these spaces, while surfacing overlooked activists and marginalised groups who reimagined how to live. The gallery is open Tuesday to Sunday, 10am-5pm. Entry is free, with a suggested £5 donation.
