A London Wildlife Trust warden leads this gentle 1.5-hour walk around Europe's largest urban wetlands, covering the reserve's history, resident wildlife and the Engine House's role in London's water supply. The route follows reserve paths with some gentle inclines; wheelchair access, ramps to the café, toilets and shop are available, and assistance dogs are welcome (no other pets). Suitable for all ages and good for anyone wanting an introduction to the site. Wear comfortable footwear and bring water; binoculars are useful but optional. Free to join with a suggested £5 donation; booking via Eventbrite is recommended as spaces are limited. Meet at the Engine House visitor centre.
Listing from London Wildlife Trust. Times and prices can change — check their page before you travel.
